A wise man once said ”Nothing seems to last forever” this in all iota of truth seems to be very correct but not when put into a proper perspective with a detailed analysis.
The fact remains that paradigms have a life cycle, and until one is able to decipher these cycles, an individual will not be able to flow with the trends and perhaps make the most of them.
Since then, we have heard of several industrial revolutions, and in all sense, such times have defined how the world responds to its outcomes.
We have experienced the Agricultural Revolution in recent times, which revolutionized how we engage in agricultural activities around the world. There has also been a concerted effort to bolster the agricultural sector and to increase GDP, especially in countries that embrace such revolutions.
During the Industrial Revolution, nations used machines and mechanization to transform their economies, resulting in their own development as well as that of the world.
Large industrial hubs were created and other annexes (branches) where the raw materials are situated to help reduce the cost of production and further increase the workforce to achieve goals and targets for such companies.
Then came the technological revolution (dot.com era) which was born in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This saw the creation of activities and e-commerce businesses on the internet and this also created a whole new paradigm for global inclusion for entrepreneurs and small businesses to have access to a global market.
However, in the last decade, a new paradigm has emerged in the form of blockchain technology which seems to be thrilling the entire world at the moment.
This was brought to the attention of the world by a white paper written by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009 depicting a new form of money that is expected to work using blockchain which involves a mathematical computation in a secured and transparent manner called Bitcoin.
This has translated into a new paradigm of events as it has become clearer that virtually everything could be stored or executed on the blockchain.
In other words, there is no limitation to the use of blockchain technology in the way we run our daily lives. This includes how we manage our healthcare system, governance, finances, entertainment, education, and a lot of other things.
Blockchain a fad, Why the school of thought?
However, due to the low level of educational penetration on the entire globe of the use of blockchain technology and its associated benefits, it is still perceived from certain circles as a fad or something that is unrealistic.
It is assumed by some people that most blockchain technology enthusiasts are crazy and unrealistic in their projections as they seem not to believe that government activities can be embedded in the blockchain.
It is obvious that they are still stuck to the old paradigm and would require some level of unlearning and relearning to get attuned to the new paradigm of blockchain technology and its associated utilities.
In order to keep everyone in the loop of understanding the benefits of blockchain technology and its associated benefits, it would be of utmost importance to continue to enlighten more people by creating the required content to educate such followers.
In every new paradigm, there are various stages of users which include: creators, initial adopters, mass adopters, and then the entire global users. This was experienced in the dot.com era such that when it got to the last set of users (global users) a lot of work had to be done to educate the global community to start making use of it. The same is applicable to blockchain technology.
There is much work to be done to get people to understand the dynamics of how blockchain technology works and all the inherent benefits as to the current technology in place.
To conclude, education is a critical factor to enlighten the global community about what blockchain technology can do for us, and dispel the misconception that it is an unrealized or crazy technology.
This is what we at Klever seek to achieve with our content and we would like to encourage our readers to engage with all our social media platforms to get themselves equipped with the right information, especially in a Klever way.
It is a Klever thing to do.
