The Klever team is very enthusiastic about Klever 5 and they have been working hard to develop and deliver a renovated version of an already successful wallet. It’s been part of the Klever Roadmap for a while, where the document sets the end of February as the month when the Klever regular users and newcomers will start enjoying a cutting-edge crypto experience.
Both Klever newcomers and experienced users will know what an enhanced self-custody wallet should look like, an application whose history dates to the beginning of the Klever company, and which has been receiving new customers ever since.
Now, in 2022, the Klever Wallet App is used by more than 3 million people all over the world, providing more than 900 tokens from the most ubiquitous like Bitcoin and Ethereum to other interesting coins, from powerful projects, like Matic, Polkadot, or ICP. It provides features such as a Swap service, a powerful Browser, a useful News page, and an overall seamless experience.

The experience is already innovative: it was made to be easy-to-use, practical, using a “don’t make me think” approach. The design was proposed in such a way that anyone can easily navigate from all the features of the application, store coins (and perform blockchain-specific tasks), do swaps, access dApps and even read the current news. It’s all supposed to be simple and intuitive.
So all that raises an unavoidable question: if Klever App 4 was already so accurate, what justifies a new updated version? In other words, why are we making Klever 5?
Klever 5: scalability, integration, resilience
Vitor Pereira, who is in charge of the Klever 5 product management, answers that question in a concise and transparent way:
“The technology we used on the Klever 4 app was good, it brought us here, but to get to the next level, we need something more robust. So we decided to make Klever 5 to better scale the application, add new functionalities and more integration with our users, our marketing and our analytics. We want to make something that keeps itself sustainable for 5, 10 years to come.”
— Vitor Pereira, Co-Founder and Product Manager
A new, more UX-focused approach has also been a turning point for Klever’s wallet. The Klever team addressed the users to listen to their requests and ideas and come up with solutions for problems raised by this amazing Klever community. Buying crypto is a great example.
Klever has been inking new partnerships with payment service providers. With new options now, the Klever community can choose better how they are buying crypto based on lower fees, payment time, and even the provider evaluation.
Indeed, the idea of improvement brought by Klever 5 resonates with making the application more robust, scalable, and resilient. This ever-growing application needs to be strong enough to support new users, data, and features. That’s achieved, for instance, by using a native-first approach to development.
Klever 4 was originally developed by using a hybrid approach, where the iOS and Android versions of the wallet were made with a single technology. Now, each OS version is being built by a specific team of engineers using native technology. IOS and Android look quite the same, but what is actually under the hood is substantially different.
Klever 5 new interface: a UX-based approach
Aside from the technical aspects of Klever 5 and its new business possibilities, the Klever wallet v5 takes design to the next level. It regards the user requests and criticism as a feeding mechanism and the team makes an effort to implement and remodel old solutions.
Take the portfolio and home screen, for instance.

As seen above, the team has been working on ways to make portfolio, balance, and home screens more functional and as informational as possible, by adding links to features and convenient data visualization. However, the team also bears in mind that too much information might make the interface cluttered and it is ought to find a balance between being too simplistic or too messy. If we explore the current wallets available in the crypto market, we realize that they either fall in one or the other category.
There are tons of other prototypes for most screens of Klever App 5 and Klever is testing them rigorously to achieve the best solutions for each feature. The Klever 5 interface might even be different from the examples shown here.
It’s not a huge overhaul either, don’t worry. The Klever team is utterly committed to delivering the best experience possible for the crypto community and there’s always room for improvement.
You will feel the difference.
