What Is Render (RNDR)?
RenderToken (RNDR) is a distributed GPU rendering network built on top of the Ethereum blockchain that connects artists and studios wanting GPU computing power with mining partners willing to offer their GPU resources for rent. Founded in 2009 by OTOY, inc. In 2017, RNDR, founded by Jules Urbach, held its first public token sale, followed by a private sale from January 2018 – to May 2018. A total of 117,843,239 RNDR were sold at a price of 1 RNDR = $0.25 USD equivalent.
The RNDR Beta Testnet was launched during the private sale period, where beta node operators and artists worked with the RNDR team on building and testing the network until the public launch on April 27th, 2020.
RNDR is an ERC20 utility token that artists on the network use to exchange GPU compute power with GPU providers (node operators). RNDR uses a combination of automated and manual proof of work systems, or in this case, proof of render, in order to verify that all art has been successfully rendered prior to disbursing payments and releasing art. The Ethereum blockchain uses its inherent security properties to hash proprietary assets upon upload and send them piecemeal to nodes for rendering. Payments for RNDR are held in escrow during rendering and are released to node operators upon manual verification by the commissioning artist that the work is successful. For security purposes, all assets rendered on the network are watermarked until payment is successfully disbursed, after which un-watermarked renderings can be downloaded, and all payment is held in escrow until manually verified as correctly rendered.
Render Founders: Who Are They?
RNDR is a company owned by OTOY with global team members based out of Los Angeles. In addition to Ari Emanuel (Founder and Co-CEO of WME), JJ Abrams (Chairman and CEO of Bad Robot Productions), and Brendan Eich (Founder and CEO of Brave Software and BAT), RNDR’s advisory board includes industry leaders who have all assisted RNDR in various capacities in bridging the gap between cryptocurrency communities and Hollywood studio production pipelines.
Klever Swap is a core service of the Klever app that makes it simpler, faster, and more convenient for our users to exchange cryptocurrencies at the click of a button. By monitoring live price action on top-tier exchanges, our native Swap engine creates a price index that is used by the Swap.
The swap itself is conducted by fully autonomous bots, built and maintained in-house by Klever’s developers’ team. These bots continuously seek the best exchange rate and prices among the top exchanges, and then execute the Swap with high precision, security and speed. The Klever Swap project is part of Klever Exchange.
