As we all know, there are thousands of crypto projects that claim to solve societal problems.
There are, however, some projects that are purely community projects, such as solving environmental problems, cleaning oceans, helping dogs and cats, or improving wild animals, etc.
These projects set aside some percentage of the tokens for charity. They are popularly known as meme coins that cater to solve specific problems.
There are, however, some of these projects that die down after an initial rally, due to a few black sheep – something that can occur in any sector, and crypto is no exception.
But let’s focus on projects that are really helping the society with their use cases, doing well and helping animals, let me name one such community project, Baby DogeCoin (BabyDoge), a crypto project developed solely to create a humorous meme community and promote animal adoption through it.
BabyDoge, which has been listed in Klever Wallet, currently, has a very robust and vibrant community on Twitter with followers of more than 1.5 million, along with 300,000 Telegram users. The token has more than 1.58 million holders.
The BabyDoge project, which has tied up with many NGOs, has so far donated $750,000 to save dogs and has been at the forefront in running a campaign towards dogs’ betterment.
Baby Doge has a special charity wallet where donations made in favor of our charity partners are distributed.
Another community project which needs to be mentioned here is Shiba Inu which is named after a breed of hunting dog from Japan. It is one the most popular crypto projects today with a market capitalization of $6.1 billion with over 1.22 million holders.
Shiba Inu supports the Shiba Inu Rescue Association and has also tied up with Amazon’s ‘Amazon Smile’ function. In this function, it allows users to automatically donate to a cause of their choice with each Amazon purchase, making this possible. This accounts for a sizable number of donations from Shiba Inu holders.
‘Crypto with a cause’ projects are now serving various social projects, some working to make our plant green, some are working to produce green energy.
Users who believe in a social cause that are close to their heart join these crypto projects with the view to do their bit to serve their purpose.
A community always brings value to the project, the more vibrant the community is, the more successful the project and the use case they are working for.
Though there are many such community projects that are working for betterment of cats, ocean, gorillas, aqua animals, some even working for taking humans to mars & moon, but there are a handful of these projects that have become successful.
Let me name some more community projects, which have thousands of users and are holding their tokens, even though price of these tokens has an extremely high volatility, namely, Safemoon, Shiba Inu, Floki Inu, Pitbull, Hoge Finance, Cate Coin, Feg Token, Loser Coin, GM Wagmi, Kishu Inu, others.
As a result, some community projects also aim to employ non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that increase users’ involvement and the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem to build wealth for its community and become a widely used community-led token.
These projects have the ability to collaborate and build communities all over the world, which encourages variety and development, directly benefiting cryptocurrencies.
But one important question arises on how they connect with such a huge community that is spread across the world.
They do it through various social media platforms, which have a common goal and likeminded people that come together for a cause.
Communities are promoted by cryptocurrencies through a variety of internet methods. Some of them include Telegram, Discord, YouTube, GitHub, Reddit, Twitter, and Reddit.
Although creating a network across several platforms is always more promising, the first objective of any crypto project is to target your audience and the causes they are supporting.
Once they have built a community, they make various communities for various groups of individuals, make sure that all the demands of the community are effectively moderated, and maintain value.
The main community sites for cryptocurrency projects are Twitter, Reddit, Telegram, and Discord servers.
They then engage the community’s members with compelling content about the project. Some even rope in celebrities to promote their community project.
Without community, projects working for social causes will not sustain and fall. So, for any successful community crypto project, users’ involvement is the guiding principle for success.
