With browser extensions becoming a very popular tool for users to get connected to the applications they use regularly, Klever is also working on its own browser extension.
You might be aware of the browser extension application like Grammarly, an extension that helps your English grammar and also suggests alternative words to users when they are typing on the web page or word file if they have installed it on their computers. In the same way, if a user browsing the webpage wants to screenshot any portion of the page or the entire page, they use a screenshot extension, such as Awesome Screenshot.
Synonymously, after an increase in crypto adoption, many crypto companies are now providing their extension services that are helping to increase cryptocurrency adoption today.
What is a browser extension?
It is a small piece of a software module that allows users to personalize a web browser. Browsers often provide a wide range of extensions, such as user interface customization, cookie management, advertisement blocking, and custom web page style.
Internet Explorer was the first to enable browser extension in 1999 and since then many web browsers have been providing this feature like Mozilla in 2004, Opera Browser in 2009, and Apple Safari and Google Chrome added it the following year.
So far, the Google Chrome browser has around 100,000 extensions which is the highest of any browser, making it the most popular browser used by millions of users.
Taking this to a next level, Klever is expected to launch its own extension soon and is looking to take on others in this space.
What is the Klever Browser Extension?
The Klever Web extension is a key-based and non-custodial wallet module for customizing a web browser.
With this, Klever aims to offer seamless trading opportunities to their 3 million-plus user base with 150,000 daily active users (DAUs).
The extension will do the same work as the Klever Wallet application. Being very easy to use, it will support various blockchains and thousands of cryptocurrencies.
Today, 20 plus blockchains are already integrated into the Klever ecosystem, namely Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Polkadot (DOT), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC), Syscoin (SYS), Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Tron (TRX) and KleverChain (KLV), its own chain that will allow users to store, buy & receive en number of tokens on their wallets.
The extension will also allow users to browse decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.
To start with, Klever Extension will now support five blockchains that include TRX, BTC, ETH, BSC, and KLV, where users will be able to send and receive coins from these blockchains. Tokens like KLV, KFI, DVK, and USDT built on the TRX blockchain can also be sent and received.
Klever Extension will also be integrated with all the Kapps standard protocols. (Kapps are applications built on KleverChain. Kapps comes with pre-built, ready-to-use applications and native functionalities to the blockchain).
The extension also allows users to list their transactions, switch to other networks, receive funds, manage multiple accounts, generate and reset their accounts and more importantly integrate it with KleverChain Explorer to view each and every transaction.
The extension will also allow the integration of more chains and will also start a staking service from the extension itself, along with Web3 and TronWeb.
When will the Klever Extension be released?
The official release has been scheduled for the fourth week of July in Phase 3 of the KleverChain rollout plan. The extension will be released by Google’s Chrome web store, allowing millions of users to engage with KleverChain via Chrome, Chromium, Opera, and Edge web browsers.
With this, Klever Web Extension can be fully activated, providing seamless access across the Klever Blockchain ecosystem.
How secure is the extension?
Klever offers true and secure ownership of your cryptocurrency and financial investments. The security of the Klever extension is ensured by being built on top of Klever OS which uses advanced security mechanisms that completely protect the user’s private keys.
Klever’s encrypted and secure architecture makes private keys and sensitive data available only on the user’s specific browser, as Klever utilizes the latest military-grade technology for encryption.
With its own chain launched on 1 July 2022, Klever is adding unique products in the coming days as mentioned in the 2022 roadmap, the extension is one such product that enhances the user crypto experience with complete and reliable security.
