With browser extensions becoming a very popular tool for users to get connected to the applications they use regularly, Klever is also working on its own browser extension.
You might be aware of the browser extension application like Grammarly, an extension that helps your English grammar and also suggests alternative words to users when they are typing on the web page or word file if they have installed it on their computers. In the same way, if a user browsing the webpage wants to screenshot any portion of the page or the entire page, they use a screenshot extension, such as Awesome Screenshot.
Synonymously, after an increase in crypto adoption, many crypto companies are now providing their extension services that are helping to increase cryptocurrency adoption today.
What is a browser extension?
It is a small piece of a software module that allows users to personalize a web browser. Browsers often provide a wide range of extensions, such as user interface customization, cookie management, advertisement blocking, and custom web page style.
Internet Explorer was the first to enable browser extension in 1999 and since then many web browsers have been providing this feature like Mozilla in 2004, Opera Browser in 2009, and Apple Safari and Google Chrome added it the following year.
So far, the Google Chrome browser has around 100,000 extensions which is the highest of any browser, making it the most popular browser used by millions of users.
Taking this to a next level, Klever is expected to launch its own extension soon and is looking to take on others in this space.
